Big things are coming our way, Atlanta.

In an ambitious move to rejuvenate the heart of Atlanta, the Centennial Yards project is bringing a wave of construction to a long-overlooked site in the city. Spanning an impressive 50 acres, this redevelopment is set to replace decades of neglect with bustling new buildings that symbolize a new chapter for Downtown Atlanta.

The project is spearheaded by Brian McGowan, president of Centennial Yards Co., who sees this development as a <catalyst for change>. His vision is clear: to attract people back to the urban core of a city that has seen its downtown area struggle in recent years. With several high-rise projects underway, including the first ground-up towers slated for completion by 2025, Atlanta is on the cusp of a significant transformation.

At the heart of this redevelopment is the 304-unit apartment tower named The Mitchell, which is set to start leasing in June 2025. The Mitchell will be a vibrant addition to the area, not just providing housing but also incorporating three exciting restaurant concepts, including Khao Thai Eatery and a tapas concept from 26 Thai. This blending of residential living with culinary attractions signifies a shift towards a more integrated urban lifestyle.

The hospitality sector is also reaping the benefits of the Centennial Yards initiative. The upcoming Hotel Phoenix aims to attract visitors with nearly 300 hotel rooms and two dining establishments set to open by September 2025. Alongside these accommodations, an 8-acre entertainment district is rising from the ground, with plans that align with the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. In anticipation of the global sporting event, the immersive entertainment venue Cosm is being developed to cover a staggering 70,000 square feet, promising to be a major draw for both locals and tourists.
